There are many times a customer will speak to me not recalling what tool he used when he cut a particular material "way back when".
A simple way to do this is to record the following:
- Material you are cutting.
- Tool specifications: Diameter, Cutting edge length, Cut direction etc.
- Part number of tool located on shank of tool.
- Cutting depth
- Feed and speed used
- Time to complete project etc.
- Any problems encountered
- Date and time
Even though this may seem a little boring and mundane at first it will be well worth it to achieve success with your business.
Just these little steps can help both the customer and the supplier to speed up the process and to help out in organization.
Much Success!
